Team Seats are first purchased directly from the Team Owner. As such, this creates a market for Team Seats which is based on the reputation and ability of the Team founding members. For simplicity, we will assume that the initial founding member is also the current Team Owner.
The creation of a Team requires the Team Owner to invest a significant amount of their own resources for operational and recruiting expenses. Consequently, the bulk of the revenue from an Initial Seat Sale is allocated to the Team Owner as fair compensation for user acquisition. Of note, as the total number of seats are capped, every additional seat sold further limits the available initial supply therefore creating more long term incentives for the Team Owner.
