The creation of a new Team requires the Team Owner (i.e. the founder) to purchase the rights to the team. This includes the cost of setting up the team structure as well as reserving the team name.
The majority of the proceeds from Team Creation are distributed to the Game Studio to compensate them for the resources invested into creating and promoting their game. This also serves as a strong incentive for Game Studios to acquire more Players so as to drive the creation of more teams and promote more social connections.
